James Pirl, 57, of Spencer, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born October 31, 1960 in Cleveland, to the late Erwin H. and Pearl C. (Snyder) Pirl.
James was employed in receiving at Medina Blanking for 25 years and was affectionately known as "Mr. Fix It". He loved restoring old cars and trucks, listening to music and was a cat lover.
James is survived his beloved wife, Shirley (Sladek) Pirl; son, Brett Harrenton; brother, Gene (Laurie) Stoyko and Erwin "Joe" (Vera) Pirl; sisters, Charlotte (Carl) Cantley and Pamela (Scott) Gorze; brothers-in-law, Leonard Lilley and Ken Booth; sister-in-law, Jean Stoyko and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael and Richard "Tony" Stoyko and his sisters, Pearl "Sue" Booth and Lois Lilley.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina 44256. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Saturday, January 13, 2018 before the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to the Medina County SPCA, 8790 Guilford Road, Seville, OH 44273.
