Raymond T. Romito, 62, at peace with our Lord and God passed away surrounded by family and friends Sunday, September 10, 2017.
He graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School in 1973, where he was a member of the wrestling team and jazz band. He attended and graduated with an associates degree in Criminal Justice from Akron University and was a member of Lone Star Fraternity. Raymond went on to graduate from his electrical apprenticeship class as valedictorian and was with the electrical union at IBEW Local 306 for 40 years.
Raymond was a devoted father, loving husband and friend to all. He was a referee and umpire for baseball, basketball and woman's volleyball for many years. He enjoyed golf, baseball, and his family.
Raymond reunites with his father, Edmund Romito, Sr., while he leaves behind his mother, Marianne; his beloved wife and angel, Karoline (Krailo); cherished children, Raymond Jr. (Jeanine), Thomas; dear stepson, Ian (Taylor); brothers, Edmund (Kathy), Frank (Paulette), Dale (Darlene), David (Anna), Roger (Karen); in-laws, Karl Kuenzer (Karen), Karl Jr. (Elizabeth), Kevin (Trish) and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd., Fairlawn. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 A.M., Thursday, September 14, 2017 at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
