Larry & Meg (Meeks) Stevanus
On Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, Larry and Meg Stevanus were surprised with a 50th anniversary party at the First United Methodist Church in Elyria by their sons- and daughter-in-laws! Seventy guests from Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan attended the event. They were married Sept. 14, 1968, at First United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Charles W. Hamilton.
Meg is retired from the Elyria United Methodist Home as a licensed practical nurse. She worked as administrative assistant at Oberlin Senior Center. She enjoys her senior group activities and tending to her flower beds.
Larry is retired from Parker Hannifin. He served in the Marine Corps with a tour in Vietnam. He is a former Boy Scout leader of Troop No. 136. His favorite pastime is fishing.
The couple’s greatest joy is their three children, Michael, Carey and Bradley; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Larry and Meg chose to commemorate their special day attending a Cleveland Indians baseball game. Happy 50th anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Stevanus!
