Chicago meets London meets small town Ohio in a noon Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, ceremony and reception! Colleen Hope Balda and Karim Edmond Maalouf will exchange wedding vows at Mill Hollow Bacon Woods Park in Vermilion. Aaron J. King, longtime best friend of the bride, will officiate. Family and friends will enjoy garden games, pie and pierogi in the carriage barn following the I-do’s. Dress code is Sunday finest; all canines must wear suits.
Colleen is the daughter of Mary Jean and Timothy Balda of Amherst, granddaughter of Alma Feeley. She is a Marion L. Steele High School graduate and a Xavier University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in business intelligence. Colleen is a senior analytics solutions consultant at Adobe in Chicago.
Karim is the son of Susan and Fadi Maalouf of England and Lebanon. He is a St. Paul’s High School of London graduate and a University of Manchester graduate with a master’s degree in economics. He is the director of Enterprise Risk Management at KPMG for the Midwest.
The couple look forward to further celebrations in Chicago and London with friends and family in the following months topped off with their honeymoon to Egypt.
