A 19-year-old Medina man accused of shooting a Harrisville Township acquaintance in the head is being held in the Summit County Jail on $250,000 bond.
Bond for Dominic Radesic, of the 300 block of West Park Blvd., was set Thursday in Akron Municipal Court. He is being held on charges of felonious assault with a weapon, a second-degree felony; tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony; obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor; and weapons under disability, a third-degree felony, court records show.
Radesic is accused of shooting Noah I. Petitt, 20, about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when a night of drinking turned deadly.
Petitt, of the 9200 block Jamison Road, was taken to Akron City Hospital where he died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
The incident occurred in a single-family home at 559 E. Exchange St., Akron. Several people were drinking and playing with handguns when Petitt suffered a gunshot wound to the head, police said.
Radesic reportedly left before officers arrived and was arrested later at his home.
Police recovered two handguns at the Akron residence.
Another Medina resident, Rick Oberacker, of Circle Drive, was arrested at the Exchange Street house and charged with misconduct at an emergency scene, a minor misdemeanor.
While detectives were investigating the shooting, police said Oberacker grabbed an audio recorder from one of the detectives and started screaming at the investigators.
He pleaded guilty Thursday in Akron Municipal Court, was fined $146 and was released from jail, court records show.
