Motorcyclist dies after being hit by FedEx truck


MEDINA TWP. — An Orrville man died Friday morning after his motorcycle was hit by a delivery truck on Hamilton Road.

At 11:05 a.m., Gregory M. Terry, 21, was traveling east on Hamilton Road, just west of Hamlin Road, when a FedEx truck driven by Darion Fore, 23, of Berea, was traveling west and failed to yield while turning south into a private driveway, according to a news release from the Medina post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Terry, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from his 1995 Honda CBR. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fore, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.

No charges have been filed as of Friday; the crash remains under investigation.

The patrol was assisted at the scene by Medina Township police and Medina Life Support Team.

This was the 14th fatal crash in Medina County this year, five of which involved motorcyclists.
