BRUNSWICK — A Brunswick man accused of stealing "hundreds" of dollars from Key Bank over the weekend faces robbery charges.
Bret A. Brucato, 35, was arrested at 2:29 p.m. Monday in Olmsted Falls, Brunswick police Lt. Robert Safran said. He said Brucato was being held at the Brunswick jail as of late Monday afternoon pending a transfer to the Medina County Jail.
Brucato was identified by police as a suspect in a robbery at 12:55 p.m. Saturday at Key Bank, 3680 Center Road.
Safran declined to disclose a specific dollar amount stolen because of the ongoing investigation.
At the time of the incident, the robber was shown on surveillance video at the bank wearing a block "C"-style baseball cap, a green, short-sleeve shirt, black jogging pants and white sandals.
Brucato was alleged to have fled the bank in a 2014 four-door grayish/blue Mazda 6 sedan, police said.
Safran said police were very "conscious" that Brucato may have had his two young children, age 5 and 2, with him. The children were not with Brucato when he was arrested.
Olmsted Falls police assisted in the arrest.
