Wadsworth man was sentenced to two years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to one count of corrupting another with drugs, a second-degree felony.

Brendan McGreevy, 22, of High Street, provided fentanyl to a 22-year-old woman who overdosed on the drug in October. At 3:22 p.m. Oct. 24, 2016, Wadsworth police and emergency medical services were dispatched to the 900 block of Hidden Valley Drive for an unresponsive woman.

Police administered one dose of an antidote to the woman before she was transported to Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.

The charge carried a maximum prison term of eight years.

Medina County Common Pleas Judge Christopher J. Collier sentenced McGreevy, who had two previous convictions for possession of fentanyl and one for possession of heroin.
