Anna P. Schindelholz

Anna P. “Ann” (nee Palek) Schindelholz, 100, of Medina, passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Life Care Center of Medina in Valley City, where she resided for four years.

She was born March 29, 1908, in Cleveland. Anna taught school for 45 wonderful years. The majority of those 45 years were in Hinckley with two in Weymouth and one in Valley City. She began her career in a two-room schoolhouse teaching grades five through eight. She was a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma and a 50-plus-year member of the Loyal Order of Eastern Star. She loved nature and her dogs.

She is survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, who was a well-known carpenter in the Medina area, and sister, Mary Palek.

Service: 1 p.m. today at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. Pastor Doug Davidson will officiate.

Burial: Spring Grove Cemetery, Medina.
