Brunswick Hills Township - A resident in the 2200 block of Plumcreek Parkway reported Sunday he found the garage door keypad disconnected and the front door of the home partially open. Someone had apparently forcibly removed a small section of the water supply line, allowing the water to run and flood the basement of the home. Nothing was taken.
Hinckley Township - A resident in the 2300 block of Northgate Drive reported at 10:12 a.m. June 27 the rear door of the home had been forced open. Nothing else was damaged, but three unopened beer cans were taken.
- Police found at 6:15 a.m. Saturday that the sign in front of Hinckley Elementary School, 1586 Center Road, was vandalized. Inappropriate words were written on the sign.
- An employee of Buzzards Roost, 2736 Center Road, reported at 7:37 p.m. June 26 that a car struck the fence outside the bar.
Lodi - A resident in the 200 block of Mill Street reported Tuesday her 9 mm pistol and 500 rounds of ammunition were stolen from her house in the last month.
- The owner of a 12-foot fishing boat reported the boat was stolen from his apartment building’s parking lot in the 200 block of North Academy Street between 1:51 p.m. June 25 and 1:50 p.m. Sunday. The seat of the boat was left in the parking lot. A resident of the same apartments reported her children’s electric four-wheeler toy cars were stolen between midnight and 9 a.m. Sunday. The seats of the cars also were left behind in the parking lot.
- An employee of Miller Bros., 711 Wooster St., closed the fueling station outside the store at 10 p.m. Saturday and began walking to the grocery store with a bag of money. Two males wearing ski masks reportedly approached the woman and demanded the bag. She screamed, they pushed her to the ground and grabbed the money bag. The woman said they left in a blue vehicle. No weapons were brandished in the incident.
- Officers found Jason Hudson, 20, of 224 Wooster St., was chasing Cody Jones, 20, of 107 Elyria St., down Wooster Street around 11:05 a.m. June 25. Jones reportedly broke a fence post outside a residence in the 200 block of Wooster Street and began chasing Hudson. Jones reportedly was screaming obscenities as police talked to the men. Both were charged with disorderly conduct by fighting. Officers found packages of Hot Pockets and burritos on Jones. Miller Bros., 711 Wooster St., reported Hot Pockets and burritos were stolen from the store earlier in the day. Jones also was charged with theft, aggravated trespassing, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct and criminal damaging.
- An officer approached Anthony Zook, 18, of 100 Sunset Drive, Apt. A, at 2:11 a.m. June 27 because he seemed to be underage and breaking curfew laws. A consented search of Zook produced a tobacco grinder containing a small amount of marijuana. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse.
