Wilbert Fensel, 89, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Willowood Care Center.
He was born Dec. 8, 1918, in Cleveland. Mr. Fensel was a special machine maker, working in a machine shop. He was a member of VFW Post 9520. He was an Air Force veteran, serving in World War II.
Mr. Fensel is survived by his son, Wayne (Julie); daughters, LaVerda and Noreen Luznar; brother, Henry; grandsons, Allen (Mary) Luznar, Bradley (LeAnna) Luznar and Edward Luznar; granddaughter, Lisa (Michael) Wolanski; and great-grandchildren, D.J., Alyssa, Jacob, Ryleigh, Eva, Megan and Allyson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Marie (nee Maurizius) Fensel; brother, Arthur; granddaughter, Carrie Fensel; and parents, Ferdinand and Hulda (nee Meeister) Fensel.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1330 N. Carpenter Road, Brunswick. Please meet at the church.
Interment: Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
Visiting hours: 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (one-half mile south of state Route 303), Brunswick.
