In March, Jim Johnson reached heights few others can ever hope to achive. The 62-year-old Lafayette Township resident hiked to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Afica’s tallest peak. It’s a journey that began nine monthe earlier with rigorous preparation - including detailed research, camping in subzero temperatures and long-distance hiking.
