Brunswick Hills Township - Twenty CDs worth around $300 and a handicap placard were stolen from an unlocked 1993 Honda Accord parked in the 5200 block of Grafton Road between 2 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
- A home under construction on Slate Road was vandalized sometime before 6:45 a.m. May 30. The vandal entered the home through an unlocked back window and burned blueprints in an unfinished fireplace, filling the home with smoke and damaging drywall. An outdoor Port-o-Potty also was tipped over. The total damage was estimated to be $200.
Hinckley Township - Two concrete lion statues were stolen from the end of a driveway in the 2000 block of Kellogg Road sometime before 6 p.m. May 30.
- Wheels and tires were stolen from a pickup truck parked in the front yard of a home in the 2200 block of Ridge Road sometime before 8:30 a.m. May 30.
Lodi - A resident of the 100 block of Harris Street reported seven checks were stolen from a locked desk in her home between noon May 19 and 8 p.m. Tuesday. She found two of the checks were written out to her boyfriend with a forged signature and cashed for $100 and $200.
- An employee of the Circle K at 441 Medina St. reported he saw a man place a 23-ounce beer in the front of his pants and walk out of the store at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday. When the employee approached the man outside, the man threatened physical harm and ran off. The employee reported he saw the man, who reportedly had short, black hair and was wearing a red shirt, enter a house in the 400 block of Medina Street. When police contacted those inside the home, no one matched the description the employee provided.
- It was reported Sunday that items at Woodlawn Cemetery, 405 Medina St., were vandalized. A plaque on a grave was removed and destroyed. Also, flags from Memorial Day and flowers were removed and thrown throughout the cemetery.
- An employee of Xenia Power Equipment, 312 Bank St., reported a Honda 3.5-horsepower engine was stolen off a lawn mower between 4 p.m. May 27 and 5:30 p.m. Monday.
- Officers responded to noise complaints at a trailer in the 700 block of Bank Street at 10:58 p.m. May 30. Inside, they reportedly found Jamie Smith, 20, of 123 Broadway St., and Alex Thompson, 18, of 710 Bank St., Suite 6, consuming alcohol. In addition, they found a drug pipe made of aluminum foil, which allegedly belonged to Thompson. Smith was charged with underage consumption, and Thompson was charged with underage consumption and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Medina Township - Four riding mowers, valued at $24,000, were stolen from the Mower Shop, 3055 Pearl Road, by breaking the chain-link gate between 6 p.m. Monday and 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.
- A vehicle was stopped for speeding at 7:02 p.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of North Jefferson Street. The officer reportedly smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver gave consent to search the vehicle and two marijuana pipes with marijuana residue in them and a marijuana grinder reportedly were found. The passenger, Season Paul, 18, of 5293 Avon Lake Road, Litchfield Township, reportedly admitted to owning everything that was found and subsequently was cited for possession of marijuana, a minor misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
Montville Township - A 1995 Chevy Lumina, valued at $1,200, broke down on Interstate 71 on May 24. The owner returned May 26 to attempt to move the vehicle and when she couldn’t, she secured it and called a tow truck company to pick it up May 27. The tow truck was unable to locate the vehicle and it was reported stolen between 5 p.m. May 26 and noon May 27.
