- A Weathervane Lane resident reported someone leaned an 8-foot fence post against his front door between 8 p.m. May 20 and 7 a.m. May 21.

- A resident of the 3400 block of Sturbridge Lane reported someone stole 15 landscaping lights worth $180 from his lawn between 1 and 10:20 p.m. May 21.

- A resident of the 4100 block of Tudor Avenue reported someone smashed a rear car window between 2:30 and 8:40 a.m., causing about $300 worth of damage.

- James Kania, 27, of 1135 N. Carpenter Road, was cited for theft after he reportedly obtained a fire hose, attached it to the fire hydrant near his home and used water from the hydrant to fill up his backyard pool.

- Two people were cited for trespassing and underage consumption of alcohol after they were discovered swimming in the pool at Pinewood Apartments in the 1400 block of South Carpenter Road about 2 a.m. Tuesday. Police discovered Shawn Goellner, 18, of 8215 Norwalk Road, Litchfield Township, and Angela Garbicz, 20, 6247 Boneta Road, Sharon Township, in the pool after someone called to complain about noise. The pair told police they climbed over the locked pool fence to swim. Garbicz was wearing boxer shorts and a tank top, and Goellner was wearing boxer shorts only. Goellner’s blood-alcohol content was .089 percent, and Garbicz’s was 0.084 percent. They were cited and returned to the apartment they were visiting for the night.

- A 1996 Honda Civic reported stolen in December 2007 from the 4400 block of Laurel Road was recovered in Cleveland on Saturday. The car, which was stripped of parts, was found in a garage of a vacant home in the 3100 block of West 30th Street by a landlord, who was unsure how long the car had been parked there. Cleveland police had the car towed to an impound lot for the owner to pick up.

- A woman reported someone driving a white sport utility vehicle on Laurel Road near Maxwell Drive threw an unknown object from the SUV’s window, cracking the windshield of the reporting woman’s Kia Sephia, around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.

- A woman reported her purse was stolen from her car while it was parked at Sunoco, 3240 Center Road, between 10 and 10:30 p.m. Monday. The woman said her car was unlocked and the windows were left down, and the purse contained several ID cards, a credit card and medication.
