Bill B. Horne Jr., 53, of Goodells, Mich., passed away Monday, May 19, 2008, at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor.

He was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Cleveland, and formerly lived in Brunswick and Kent before moving to Michigan. He was a technician for the St. Clair County Courthouse.

He is survived by his father, Bill B. Horne Sr. of Uniontown, Ohio; brother, Larry (Linda) Horne of Cuyahoga Falls; sister, Ginger (Roy) Short of Medina; nephews, Jeff (Heather) and Kevin (Kristin) Horne, both of Columbus, and Bradley Short of Medina; niece, Kellie (Jeffrey) Pallija of Wadsworth Township; beloved ex-wife, Barbara Atkins of St. Clair, Mich.; dog, Buddy; and special friends, Ron and Sandy Bannister. Bill’s family cannot thank you enough for all you did for him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie (Athey) Horne.

Services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Michigan, 1500 E. Medical Center Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48109, for research of Wegener’s disease.
