- A man stood in the middle of FirstMerit Bank, 975 N. Court St., at 9:54 a.m. Saturday and when a bank employee approached him to ask what he needed, the man allegedly said, “I was going to rob you, but I forgot my gun at home.” The employee said that was not funny and the man, Raymond Gajoch Jr., 54, of 10086 Crow Road, Litchfield Township, said he was just joking. The employee then took Gajoch to her desk to fill out loan paperwork and after going over a certain bank policy, Gajoch reportedly said, “if your (expletive) bank were to ever take my money, I would drive a semi into this branch and blow this place up.” The employee said she didn’t appreciate Gajoch threatening her or the bank, and he allegedly interrupted, saying he was just kidding again, but then repeated the same thing and said the bank’s policy was ridiculous. He was asked to leave the bank, which he did. Gajoch was later contacted by police, who told him to come to the police department so they could serve him a trespassing notice from the bank, preventing him from going back again. He arrived at the police department and was cited for aggravating menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor.
