GATES MILLS — Medina’s girls lacrosse team rolled to a 20-9 win over Gates Mills Hawken in its season opener Thursday.
The Bees got goals from seven players, including attacker Ariel Knox, who scored six times, while goalie Shalon Lee made nine saves in her varsity debut.
Medina’s junior varsity team dropped a 10-6 decision to Hawken.
