Some words of praise for Kovack

November 19th, 2007 · No Comments

To the Editor:

Medina County Auditor Michael Kovack received plenty of criticism the past few months for some very steep re-evaluations on many properties around our county. I’d like to personally thank Kovack for being very proactive toward this criticism and welcoming people to contact his office with reasons they felt their appraisals were too high. I know of several individuals who did this — as well as myself — and were given much more fair appraisals.

I think we are all quick to cast criticism on our elected officials. I, for one, would like to thank Kovack for his open-door policy and fairness.

I’d be remiss, following Veterans Day, if I didn’t also thank Kovack for his service to our country.
